The Meaning of End of Life (I'm Speaking XP)

Microsoft has set the end of life for Microsoft XP and Office 2003 for April 8th, 2014. End of Life has lots of meanings, in tech talk, it means support and updates are going away. There’s no more support or lifelines. Phoning a friend is almost as useless as calling a support line. No more security patches or bug fixes. The countdown is on. Come April 8th, 2014 other vendors will likely discontinue supporting the XP operating systems on new releases of their software too. The end date is near, but the world isn’t coming to end.
